HaHa, my camping stuff is all stored in boxed containers, won't take me long to throw it all back in the camper.
I know where Goveland Oaks is. A little to open and crowded for me. and too close to home. Gotta feel like I went somewhere and I'm really looking forward to some quiet camping. Yankee Springs does look nice, but looks crowded. We may end up back in Newaygo, hardly anyone goes there and is empty during the week. We don't even see a Ranger all week when we go there. But, going there depends on my husband driving over there, lol.

We are still deciding where were going this year. It'll be close to home I'm afraid again this year. Anyone know of a good place, a State Park around the Lansing area that is nice? Some little wooded hideaway?

Empire Bluff of Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore. Not a better look out anywhere on Lake Michigan.

Staying close to the Detroit Area? Bruin Lake campground is very nice. Many wooded sites. The campground is usually full, it is very popular! If you have a boat you can keep it dock on the shore. The fishing is good, I think there are 5 lakes to get to for fishing and boating around. Great spot to take kids, the beach is great and many other kids are there for your kids to hang with and have fun. I take my nephews these days, they have a lot of fun.
