Elaine congradulations on making up your mind thats half the battle which one is it that you are looking at forestriver has a nice product thats who built ours.Ithink you will be very happy with your choice.Ireally like your idea of taking out the bunks that will give you alot of extra storage.

We are looking to down size & found a micro-mini made by Forestriver that might be the one. It has bunkbeds as well as a full bed. Since we don't have little ones we will remove the bunks & use that space for storage & it is light enough to be pulled by our Jeep Commander. We have looked almost a year for something we could pull w/ it. Happy camping.

Tom, this is the one we plan to look at when the time comes. The sales rep said it can be pulled with a Town and Country V6 size car.

I'm actually looking to get a micro-camper/trailer. No pop-up to worry about, just a small trailer to tow behind a small pickup truck. I've got a small ford ranger with a 4 cyl. engine, and a 5 speed overdrive manual trans. But in michigan I don't want to mess with a tent to set up in the pouring rain. I'll just use the back of the pickup for that matter then...

But I've done backpacking to tail-gate (trunk) and pop up camping.

we enjoy camping in a fifth wheel this was a very good investment for us as far as the towing difference has been great and the added room that we have inside.

I started a group on Living Outdoors Full Time at http://www.campersindex.com/group/livingoutside -- for tenters, RV'ers or whatever. Some of you might be interested in it. If you are actually living in or have ever lived in a tent or RV full time, please join the group.

Those triangle shped pop-ups are bear-protective. Would rather have one of them than the canvas ones.
