We live in Ocean Shores and do occaisonally go to Pacific Beach, just to get away for the weekend. We are however looking for some campgrounds in our state that have things for the kids to do. Not enough theme parks, or Children oriented parks around for winter camping. I have found the KOA nice, they have an indoor pool. We do not have a toad set up yet. Trying to find the cheapest deal on getting our 02 liberty set up. Oh, and Howdy all.

Had a great time at Pacific Beach State Park on the ocean shore this past weekend. Weather worked out to be beautiful all weekend. Park is ight on the beach and the facilities are great.

Stayed in Grayland Beach SP just after Labor Day weekend for our Annual Seafood Fest. We ate steamer clams, kumamoto oysters, prawns, fresh tuna, and of course, dungeness crab. It doesn't get any better than that. I love going into Westport and down to the docks to get seafood right off the boats and then out to Brady's for oysters. I posted pictures of the Seafood Fest, check them out, but beware, you might get hungry!

We have stayed at several campgrounds around the state. We have gone from Ocean Shores to Spokane. We enjoy the state parks and the ability to reserve online. We also have a camping binder for the campgorounds we have been to and our favorite sites. It is a handy tool. We also add things to the pages for little reminders. Extra cords or hoses, quarters for showers things like that. Happy Camping Y'all.

Just got back from Grayland Beach State Park, stayed in site #74. The park is awesome, been there several times now, all restrooms/showers and yurts have been updated. Dogs love the beach, and it is never too packed!

Something folks might not be aware of is that Washington State Parks offers free camping to disabled veterans. Additionally I have found that Oregon and the national forest/parks also offer this service. The veteran needs to show that he or she is at least 30% disabled and contact the state parks office and the nearest national forest/parks office depending the pass they are wanting to use. They will in turn give you an ID card or pass to use.
What I found is that the reservation system for Washington Parks will not take a veteran's reservation online so you need to call in your reservation. The pass also grants free admission into things like Mount Saint Helen's National Park and other state or nationally run tourist areas. If you or a family member is a disabled vet please look into, it is a service provided to you or them for their service.

I'm super excited to stay in Washington. We're staying at South Whidbey and Larabee state park over two days. Any other recommendations?

looking at cruising from Seattle to Kettle Falls to stay on Lake Roosevelt. Does anyone have specific campsites that they like (include #) it appears that the sites are reservable and the website doesn't have pictures of the sites. We are used to doing recon missions prior to camping to scope out the good sites. This is too far to do this so help from other Members would be most appreciated.

Went camping July 30 - Aug. 2nd at Penrose Point State Park, although we were grieving for the loss of our little Cornelius, the campground is great and I started camping there in the 70's. Check out the pictures of our site.
